I am supposed to be studying. I AM studying (not all that productively, but whatever).
And just now the law school a capella group just came and performed a couple holiday songs, including a law school-themed version of of "Deck the Halls" with the closing lines:
So as you study for your finals
Don't forget it's all doctrinal
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
They performed this IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAW LIBRARY. And I didn't hear anyone grumbling...people just got up and smiled and took it as a nice little study break.
This (along with Big 10 Burritos, the friendly students at the law school and the other grad schools, the beautiful and rarely-used gardens and tennis court at the dorm next door, and professors who will take you out for coffee and talk about roommates and dating tips and such) is what should really be in the UMLS brochure.
